Automatically Logged Data -- In common with other websites, log files are stored on the web server saving details such as the visitor's IP address, browser type, referring page and time of visit. This data is used only for the following purposes:
Information Voluntarily Submitted -- Where information is required to register or "sign up" for specific features such as receiving notices via email, the visitor's email, name, and data related to their property relationship to MHPOA will be stored on the server.
Feedback Data (via Cookies) -- Cookies are small digital signature files that are stored by your web browser that allow your preferences to be recorded when visiting the website. These may be used to remember visitor preferences when interacting with the website, they may also be used to track your return visits to the website, and finally in the future, they may be used to distinguish returning MHPOA constituent members from generic visitors.
Logged Data -- The information we collect via the website is used to enhance the vistor's experience when using the website, and to improve communications with MHPOA constituent members.
Submitted Information -- If you have voluntarily subscribed to one of our services, emails may be sent to inform you of news or updates of our services, along with any other notices or updates you have chosen to receive from and concerning MHPOA business.
Will we sell your data? No. Email addresses and other voluntarily submitted data will not be sold, rented, leased nor made accessible in any way to 3rd parties. Automatically logged data may be used by 3rd parties who help us maintain the website (in order to correct errors or problems, or to add features to our web service).
We do not currently use nor do we have any plans to use ad services. The minimal website costs are either donated, or are paid for from the general operating expenses of the Association. If at any point we do accept advertising, it will most likely be "display-only" in nature and for local businesses, contractors, and/or other vendors whose services would likely be of interest to our members, but the MHPOA reserves the right to define specific parameters or policies for potential advertisers at a later date in time.
Website availability -- Currently all the information on our website is available without the need to register, subscribe, or otherwise "sign up"; and there is (currently) no requirement for you to volunteer any specific personal information to access our files.
Future Functionality -- In the future, we may add features which will make it necessary to be able to distinguish between generic website visitors and people who are constituent members of our association so that members can be granted access to exclusive content. In addition, if at some future time we add member forums, blogs or other features that allow users to post messages or comments, it will then be necessary to require a login to specifically identify users; only those constituent members who desire to access those features and then voluntarily choose to register will be required to provide identifying information. Their access to those features will then require that we place "cookies" on their browser to allow tracking and access verification; you can choose to block such "cookies" via your browser settings but this may prevent you from accessing those features.
How do I Unsubscribe? -- If you have subscribed to a feature that sends notices via email, you may unsubscribe by following the instructions which are included in e-mail that you receive, or by sending an email with the subject line "UNSUBSCRIBE" from the address you wish to have excluded; send the "UNSUBSCRIBE" email to the following address: MHPOAwebmaster@marinerhills.org -- in response you will receive one final email confirming that your email has been removed from any and all additional future emails.
